We Love Living in the Hood!

Dorky Havens Christmas morning showing off our goodies!
On Christmas Eve we were blessed by several neighbors. One brought homemade barbacoa...a delicious meat that goes great in a tortilla. It tastes wonderful!

3 different neighbors brought over tamales. We had so many I brought them to the church one day and the church staff enjoyed them. With some sour cream and salsa....yum.

Christmas cookies

During Christmas vacation we had the kids over to play and they also made sugar cookies in apt. 2. They had a blast!

Field Trip to the Santa Cruz Lighthouse

The kids first week of Christmas vacation, Gary and I took a bunch of kids for a drive to Santa Cruz to check out the Lighthouse. We watched the surfers, went into the Lighthouse, and then drove to the Santa Cruz pier where we got friendly with the pelicans, watched the sea lions and ended off the day with a cheesburger lunch ordered from the stand at the end of the pier. Yum! Here's the whole gang. Kevin being tougher than the pelican.
