Crystal who is a part of the Center had her Quinceanera last week. A few of us were involved as Padrina's. Below is Crystal with Ruben and Gary.
One of the things they do at a quinceanera is Crystal picks kids to be a part of a special dance. They are called
chambelanes. They practice a special dance, in Crystal's case, a waltz, with the birthday girl. Below is some of the chambelanes actually performing the waltz during the ceremony.
Two of the chambalenes were Sergio and Jose who are here pictured with Rocky Martinez.
Lesley, Jose, Sergio, and Crystal's brother Fidel were all Chambelanes. The next little guy is Crystal's other little brother, Danny.

It was a fun evening down in Morgan Hill. Us American's are not used to a slow relaxing pace for an event! It is supposed to be a time of just enjoying the moment with friends and family and if it takes a long time to get through the planned events, that's ok. Just need to be out of the place by one in the morning!
